Munster Uneven Age & Senior Cross Country Championships 2017
  • Start time for 1st race is 11.30 a.m. 
  • Closing Date: Monday the 6th of November.
  • IAAF Rules apply
  • Athletes may move up ONE age group except for U/9 athletes who must turn 8 years old in 2017.
  • Spot Checks will be undertaken
  • There is no follow-on All Ireland competition for the U/9, U/10 or U/19 age groups. They compete at Munster level only. 
  • Athletes must be registered
  • Pacing of athletes will mean disqualification. Please inform club officials and parents.
  • Only athletes declared on the team sheets will score.
  • It is strongly recommended that all athletes wear the correct footwear. No earphones should be
  • worn at any time in call area or competition.
  • Fees: Juvenile entry is 2 Euro per individual & 20 euro per County team. Club teams are free. 
  • Senior entry is 5 euro per individual & 25 euro for County Teams. Club teams are free
  • THERE IS NO NEED TO ENTER CLUB OR COUNTY TEAMS ONLINE AS THEY WILL BE CALCULATED FROM THE RESULTS ON THE DAY. CLUB TEAMS WILL BE FIRST 4 ACROSS THE LINE TO SCORE. Munster Cross Country Secretary will bill each County that fields County teams after the competition.
  • An athlete must be 18 years or over to compete in Senior Cross Country.

  • Master athletes both male & female attain eligibility on their 35th, 40th, 45th...... birthday (as appropriate).
  • Athletes must be registered for 2017
  • Entry Fees: 5 Euro per individual & 25 Euro for County Teams. Club Teams are free. THERE IS NO NEED TO ENTER CLUB OR COUNTY TEAMS ONLINE. TEAMS WILL BE CALCULATED FROM THE RESULTS ON THE DAY. FIRST 4 CLUB ATHLETES ACROSS THE LINE ARE THE SCORERS FOR CLUB TEAMS. The Munster Cross Country Secretary will bill each County that had participating County teams after the competition. 
  • All competitors must wear official team colours.
  • Juvenile: 1 team per Club per age group
  • There is no follow-on All Ireland competition for U/10 or U/16 Relays.
  • Fees: 5 euro per team
  • Distances: All Relays are 4 x 500m
  • Entries through Club or County Secretary for Relay Championships
  • All teams must be pre-entered with team list, date of birth, registration number. Maximum number of 5 athletes per team (4 + 1 sub).
  • First 3 teams receive medals; A sub must be declared and present on the day to receive medal.

  • First four (4) club teams in the 11-18 age group all must have competed in the Provincial/Regional Cross
  • Country Championships
  • Three (3) teams from each Munster, Ulster, Connaught, 4 from Leinster and 1 Team from the Region of
  • Dublin qualify for County Teams.
  • In the 17-18 age groups open entry will apply provided the athlete has competed in the Provincial/Regional
  • Cross Country Championships. Open entries must be with National at closing date for competition, entries
  • through Provincial Secretary ONLY
  • All entries to through Regional Secretaries
  • Province: 12 athletes to run with 6 to score
  • County: 10 athletes to run with 6 to score
  • Club: 6 athletes to run with 4 to score
  • Athletes must be registered

  • Juvenile "B" Competition is open to athletes who  HAVE NOT WON an Individual, Regional, County or Club Cross Country medal at Munster or National Championships. 
  • Start time for 1st race is 11.30 a.m. 
  • Closing Date: Monday 27th of November.
  • IAAF Rules apply
  • Athletes may move up ONE age group except for U/9 age groups where the minimum age is 8 years (ie. all U/9 athletes must turn 8 years old in 2017).
  • Spot Checks will be undertaken
  • There is no follow-on All Ireland competition for the U/9 & U/10 age groups. They compete at Munster level only. 
  • Athletes must be registered
  • Pacing of athletes will mean disqualification. Please inform club officials and parents.
  • Only athletes declared on the team sheets will score.

  • Junior athletes must be 16 years on the 31st December in the year of competition and under 20 years on the 31st December in the year of competition.
  • Entry Fees: 5 euro per individual & 25 euro for County Teams. Club teams are free. THERE IS NO NEED TO ENTER CLUB OR COUNTY TEAMS ONLINE. THEY WILL BE CALCULATED FROM THE RESULTS ON THE DAY. FIRST 4 CLUB ATHLETES TO SCORE FOR CLUB TEAM. Munster Cross Country Secretary will bill for the County Teams after the competition. 

The following rules apply to athletes wishing to take part in the Munster Intermediate Cross country Championships

1. Intermediate athletes must be 20 years of age or over on 31st December in the year of Competition.

2. An athlete who has never been an individual medal winner at Munster or National Intermediate Cross Country Championships.

3. An athlete who has never been an individual medal winner or a scoring member of the winning club or county team at Munster or National Senior grade A Cross Country C/Ships.

4. An athlete who has never been an individual medal winner or scoring member of the winning club or county team at Munster or National Road Championships.

5. An athlete who has never been a member of a Senior International Team.

6. Status of an athlete will not be altered during a Cross Country season (September to April) other than in the case of an individual win.

  • Athletes must be registered for 2017.
  • Entry Fees: 5 Euro per individual & 25 Euro per County team. Club teams are free. THERE IS NO NEED TO ENTER CLUB OR COUNTY TEAMS ONLINE. They will be calculated from the results on the day. Tipperary Junior & Senior Cross Country Championships 2017
  • All athletes must be registered for 2017.
  • Club Singlets must be worn
  • Online Entry only through Club Secretaries. Individual entry only, teams will be calculated from the results on the day.
  • Start Time 12 Noon.
  • Closing Date for Entries: Thursday 7th December 2016.
  • Junior Age Eligibility: Over 16 and Under 20 on the 31st of December  in the  Competition Year.
  • Distances: 3km Junior Women & 6km Junior Men.                 Scoring:    Men 3 to score.  Ladies 3 to score.  
  • Senior Age Eligibility:  20 years and over on the 31st of December  in the  Competition Year
  • Senior Distances: 6km Senior Women & 10km Senior Men.
  • Scoring:   Men 4 to score. If there are no teams of 4 to score, medals will be awarded to teams of 3. Ladies 3 to score.  
  • For Senior Men there is “A” & “B” team competition in the one race as follows. The 1st 4 will score as the “A” team and the 5th to 7th will score as the “B” team. Medals will be awarded to the first 3 teams in  both the “A”  & “B”.  The number of team prizes at “B” will be one less than the number of  “B” teams finishing.
  •  No team (Club) can win two sets of medals in the “A” Championships unless there is only one B team. In that case any such team “B” team  can compete for “A” medals

AIT Baseline Indoor T&F 2017 Wednesday, 13 December 2017

2017 AIT Baseline T&F – Timetable & Competition Notes

Many thanks for your interest in the 2017 AIT Baseline T&F meet which takes place this Wednesday December 13th.

Please note we expect a very congested programme and will move as quickly as possible through events. As such, race times below are an estimate and the programme may run ahead or behind the times indicated.  Please keep an eye on progress on the track and listen for PA announcements.

Check in at least 45 min before scheduled event start time.

Track athletes proceed to call room at least 15 min before scheduled event start time. Field event athletes present at event in in-field at least 30 min before scheduled event start time.

As this is presented as a time-trial event, rather than a formal competition, seeding and associated lane draws are not guaranteed in any track event.  However, we will attempt to seed leading athletes where possible. 

All track events will run as heats only.

300m will be run in lanes until break entering back straight

2017 Baseline T&F

Track

6.30pm:        60m M (4 races) followed by 60m W (3 races)

7.10pm:        300m M (7 races) followed by 300m W (4 races)

8.10pm:        3000m M (1 race) followed by 3000m W (1 race)*

8.40pm:        150m M (6 races) followed by 150m W (5 races)

9.40pm:        1000m M (2 races) followed by 1000m W (1 race)

*3000m Women have option of racing with Men

  • All athletes are confined to their own age categories in individual events.
  • Start Time 1pm.
  • Closing date for entries is Thursday 28th December 2017.
  • Fees: 3 euro per event & 6 euro per relay team.
  • Senior Men's 3000m wil be a team race with the cumulative times of the first 3 in each team. 
  • The order of events may be changed on the day depending on how events are progressing.

Irish Life Health Indoor Combined Events Championships 2018 Saturday, 20 January 2018

Regulations

Athletes must check-in at least 60 minutes before their event.  Collecting a number does not necessarily constitute checking-in.  Please take care.

Athletes must wear their official club singlet.

Senior athletes must be aged 16 years or over on 31stDecember in the year of competition. 

Junior athletes must be aged 16 years or over and under 20 years on 31st December in the year of competition.

An athlete becomes a Master athlete on their 35thBirthday. 

 In the long jump and throwing event, each athlete shall be allowed three trials only. 

In the track events, an athlete shall be disqualified in any event, in which he has made two false starts

An athlete failing to attempt to start or make a trial in one of the events shall not be allowed to take part in the             subsequent events but shall be considered to have abandoned the competition.   He shall not, therefore, figure in the   final classification.

The winner shall be the athlete who has obtained the highest number of points.  Medals will be presented to the top           three.         

The normal Masters rule of step down will allow an athlete over 50 compete in the pentathlon

In-competition testing under IAAF and WADA Rules may be conducted at any Championships.  Any athlete selected for testing who fails to attend as required or who fails to deliver a satisfactory sample render themselves liable to suspension.
